Thanks for stopping by.
My name is Matt; I'm a nomad of sorts from South Africa.

I'm traveling the world, mostly working from coffee shops and co-working spaces.

I decided to spend a few months in Phu Quoc from December 2019 to February 2020, living the island life while working on a couple of projects.
When the lockdowns began in March, I decided to stay in Phu Quoc. I rented an apartment and lived on the island until August 2020.
Before my arrival, I did some research to find out what co-working spaces or coffee shops were available for remote workers or digital nomads.
Unfortunately, there was very little information on workspaces in Phu Quoc. Even the travel guides I found were pretty poor with minimal information on Phu Quoc.
So, I decided to spend my time on Phu Quoc researching the island from a nomad's point of view. And thus, phuquocnomad.com was born.
I have to admit, I have fallen in love with Phu Quoc. The ex-pat community exploded over 2018/2019, and it's easy to see why.
Phu Quoc is a relatively affordable place to live, life is simple, and you can enjoy much of the amenities of a "normal" city while living the island life.
While the world was locked down, Vietnam was open for domestic travel. This gave me the opportunity to explore the country. All of which I share on this website.
